Undergraduate Program

The Department of Earth Science offers outstanding opportunities for students who wish to pursue studies related to Earth and Planetary Environmental and Materials Science, including Human Geography, which are of unprecedented importance to contemporary society. The undergraduate program is available only in Japanese. The selection is done through Special Selections for Undergraduate Admission.

Graduate Program

IGPAS (International Graduate Program for Advanced Science)

In the International Graduate Program for Advanced Science (IGPAS), the lecture courses are taught in English, and the students are not required to learn the Japanese language, although they are encouraged to learn it in their daily lives. As for the IGPAS, the MEXT (Japanese Government) scholarship opportunities are available to the master’s course applicants, who pass the entrance examination with excellent performance as well as meet the designated eligibility by MEXT. 

Special Selection for International Students

Students applying to this program can choose to enter the school either in April or October. Lectures will be given in either English or Japanese languages.
